Child, Princess, Woman..
Love comes to me like a child
With too many wishes,
Dreams are free, they are not bought;
Wishes come to amuse me;
I am no longer a child
But there is this child in me
Wanting, waiting eagerly for a dream
Like a candy coated promise
Promises.. promises
Love comes with many promises
Like a garden of roses and a box of chocolate
To please my childish spirit;
I am butterfly free but wanting a home
To rest my wandering soul,
True and faithful!
Shattered rainbows, tattered memories
Woven in loneliness, of promises unsettled
And debts unpaid
Crushed my childish spirit;
Challenged who I am.
Do you know me?
I am a woman who never has been afraid
To change the world from what they believed;
I loved, I cared, I nurtured;
I stood tall against the trickeries of life
Through storms and rains and broken dreams.
I was also princess, not merely a child of long ago;
My spirit was free and it shall always be,
Child, princess, woman
I am never afraid to dare for a dream!
Love comes indeed like a new morning
With lots of hopes and promises;
Comes sun or storm, I am the woman in me,
The princess in me, the child in me.
Ever dreaming and free!
With too many wishes,
Dreams are free, they are not bought;
Wishes come to amuse me;
I am no longer a child
But there is this child in me
Wanting, waiting eagerly for a dream
Like a candy coated promise
Promises.. promises
Love comes with many promises
Like a garden of roses and a box of chocolate
To please my childish spirit;
I am butterfly free but wanting a home
To rest my wandering soul,
True and faithful!
Shattered rainbows, tattered memories
Woven in loneliness, of promises unsettled
And debts unpaid
Crushed my childish spirit;
Challenged who I am.
Do you know me?
I am a woman who never has been afraid
To change the world from what they believed;
I loved, I cared, I nurtured;
I stood tall against the trickeries of life
Through storms and rains and broken dreams.
I was also princess, not merely a child of long ago;
My spirit was free and it shall always be,
Child, princess, woman
I am never afraid to dare for a dream!
Love comes indeed like a new morning
With lots of hopes and promises;
Comes sun or storm, I am the woman in me,
The princess in me, the child in me.
Ever dreaming and free!
